IHS Towers is a company specializing in the construction, operation, and management of telecommunications infrastructure—primarily towers (masts)—in Africa and other emerging markets. Founded in 2001 in Lagos, Nigeria, IHS has significantly expanded its activities: it owns more than 39,000 towers in several countries, including Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Zambia, and others.
The company plays a key role in supporting mobile networks on the continent: by outsourcing infrastructure (towers, colocation, maintenance), IHS enables telecom operators to expand coverage without investing directly in the construction and management of these towers.
